EM, Effective Micro-organisms
Microferm is a liquid mixture of active effective micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi and yeasts) that promotes organic conversion by means of fermentation. In addition, Microferm increases the natural balance and biodiversity both in the stable and in humans and animals.
EM technology offers many advantages:
- Dominance of beneficial microorganisms that crowd out unfavorable ones
- Fermentation instead of rotting
- Preservation of energy and nutrients
- Disease suppressive
- Increases the general condition, resilience and health of your horse
- Performance enhancing
Microferm in the stable
In the stable, Microferm creates a natural balance and high biodiversity. It ensures a decreasing infection pressure, better resilience, more vitality and resistance. In addition, Microferm also offers a solution for processing manure. Sprayed over the bedding material, it helps with an optimal conversion of organic material. Rotting no longer occurs, so the production of ammonia is counteracted and thus a better stable climate prevails and fewer flies are attracted.
Microferm in manure processing
Bokashi is the Japanese name for well-fermented organic material. Fermentation is an age-old preservation technique in which organic matter is pre-digested by Effective Micro-organisms under oxygen-poor conditions. This results in sustainable humus, rich in nutrients and bio-active substances. Distributed over your pasture, this humus activates soil life and ensures that the quality of the grass itself improves. In this way, Bokashi benefits the horse's health.
Health Benefits
Microferm in the stable
- Efficient conversion of organic material
- Improved stable climate with fewer flies
- Prevents rot and ammonia evaporation
- External care for horses against fungal, bacterial infections, etc.
Usage
Microferm for the stable
- Annually 1L microferm /m2/ year
- Practical:
- diluted 5%: 5L Microferm on 100L water
- 2-3x/week spray 1.5L diluted solution with a pressure sprayer over litter in stable (9m2)
- Horse care:
- Wash & refresh: 1/5 or 20ml in a bucket of water. Do not rinse but leave to work for 10 minutes.
- Wound care (bites, hoof problems, open wounds, pressure points) Spray 1/10 or 10ml in 1L of water with household spray on wound
- Haze hay 1/5
